
Rule 7: Eat mainly fresh, organic fruit and vegetables
If you look after your skin year-round, you can afford to indulge a little over the festive season. Sure, have a glass of bubbly, eat that Christmas pudding, party into the wee hours, but get back on the wagon pronto with these 12 tips:
1. Cleanse, hydrate and moisturise twice a day
2. If you wear make-up regularly, be sure to give your skin an adequate break
3. Apply a gentle exfoliant twice a week and clay mask at least once a week
4. Drink at least 2 litres of water per day
5. Avoid the sun especially between 10am-3pm
6. Always wear a hat, a long sleeved cotton shirt and natural sunscreen when outdoors
7. Eat mainly fresh, organic fruits & vegetables, cut down on dairy & wheat based
products
8. Exercise moderately at least 3 times a week
9. Make time for regular relaxation/meditation
10. Eliminate cigarettes & alcohol
11. Avoid foods & products containing colours, preservatives and flavourings
12. Avoid using soap on the face as this will having a drying effect by removing the skin’s
natural oils, therefore unbalancing natural sebaceous activity
