Hello Paris? Where are you hiding your organic skincare?

Sephora on the famous Champs Elysees needs an organic skincare section

I checked out the high-end department store Sephora on the Champs Elysees today and was SO disappointed to find there was no organic skincare section!

Not only that, I nearly passed out walking into the place. It was very crowded with absolutely no ventilation and an overwhelming cloud of synthetic perfume in the air.

I had to walk past five metres of perfume counters stocking perfumes of all possible varieties (which you all know I abhor), only to reach the back of the store and find standard cosmetics lines that are in any garden-variety department store.

Huh, no organic skincare? What the…?

I ran out of there as fast as I could without security bailing me up. Poohey phewy!

During my visit to Paris I’ve been surprised to discover there are very few organic skincare lines to be found anywhere in the city. There is still so much education needed here.

This trip has really brought home the fact that Australian organic skincare companies are leading the way.

Hopefully some of our many  business meetings will plant the seeds of change in this beautiful part of the world.
