The eponymous brand Mukti (mooktee) is a luxurious Australian certified organic spa and retail range. Established since 2000, we have a loyal and dedicated following. Unlike the present day saturation of pseudo-natural and organic products, the development of the range came about as a response to the limited product ranges that were available in the marketplace at that time.
Having successfully owned and operated several salons in Brisbane, Australia, I relocated to the Sunshine Coast hinterland to raise my children and began my business when I recognised a niche gap in the skincare industry, as well as a need for consumer education.
My interest in herbalism and natural therapies is steeped in family tradition and was passed down by my Swedish great grandfather, who was a pharmacist and owned an apothecary in Germany.
For well over a decade, I have independently created and formulated my own chemical-free beauty products (through tenacious trial and testing), from quality certified organic ingredients that have been carefully selected to work synergistically with the skin.
Mukti Organic Skincare has won numerous awards, as well as awards for my product formulations.
My passion is to formulate and I have created personalised ranges for clients (OEM). I love to study and have qualifications in cosmetic chemistry, natural and beauty therapy and business management, and I am an accredited educational trainer.
I’m so glad I stayed true to my vision, because after much work and research, Mukti Organic Skincare was granted certified organic status by the OFC in 2006.
We are 100% Australian owned and our products are manufactured as well as marketed by the same company.
The latest development in spa destinations is to create a centre for healing, wellness and natural aesthetics while consciously reducing the environmental footprint. Our products are right on trend with the current consumer demand. They nourish the body, enhance ecological harmony, and have been produced with minimal impact.
The green spa movement incorporates a sense of responsibility to reduce exposure to toxic hazardous substances and to minimise waste generation. It shares a concern for the wellbeing of its guests as well as the planet.
Our range has been accepted into high-end department stores such as Harvey Nichols Hong Kong and Takashimaya Singapore. We export internationally and are currently producing an exclusive certified organic premium age defence range.
My team and I are passionate about bringing you the purest skincare products available, handcrafted in small batches on a daily basis to maintain absolute freshness. We make Mukti Organic Skincare in the clean, green, rolling hills of Maleny in Australia’s Sunshine Coast hinterland, an eco-conscious community where people value organic lifestyles and environmental sustainability.
I began this blog to get the word out that it’s not necessary to poison your body in order to have beautiful skin, and to advocate for truth in labelling.
Organic skincare is part of the wider organics movement, so I also blog about issues relating to environmental sustainability, conservation, organic health and beauty and spirituality — all of which combine to create happy, balanced people and a healthy planet.

We obtained organic certification from the Organic Food Chain (OFC) in 2006 (OK it wasn’t that easy!), which ensures our skincare products are produced in an environmentally responsible way. Our product ingredients are GMO-free sourced sustainably. We reduce, reuse and recycle, and all our packaging is recyclable (and pretty too). Over the last two years I have been researching and trialing different brands of organic and so called ‘natural’ skin care products trying to find one brand that fitted into my criteria of ‘Australian made’ and ‘organic’. it has cost me lots of money as most of what I tried was either clumsy or just didn’t do the job. I am trying to eliminate where possible all chemicals in my life in general. Not too long ago I stumbled across Mukti while busy googling. I ordered some samples (which by the way is a great idea for giving confidence in trialing a product). I have got to say that it was a lovely surprise to find a range of products that actually did what they said they would do. I am 52 yrs of age so am keen to look after and preserve my skin. I have started to buy the range bit by bit and having a lovely time of it. The only pity is that I cannot find a retailer (or even perhaps a day spa) in NSW that use these lovely products as I would love to go and play and test drive more products and perhaps have a facial!
